| I have a very old caliper without a dial. Excellent buy for a digital that is much easier to read. |

I really like this digital Micrometer. The only thing I wished I'd ordered would have been the fractional equivalent. But, I can do the math myself so it's no biggie.
Good sized display, easy to read. This is even with my wearing bifocals and older glasses for working with. |

This Caliper is better than I expected. Came with a nice Plastic casing which is padded and has slots for spare battery and the screw driver. Mine came with two spare batteries. Battery installation was easy with the included mini scredriver. Caliper has a solid feel. Titanium alloy has a nice satin finish and is resistant to corrosion.
The jaws are precision grounded and feel solid. Digital display is large and easy to read. Has a On/Off switch and instant metric to english coversion switch. I did not find any of the quality issues as reported by other reviewers.
The measurements are accurate and consistent everytime.
The manual however is not good. Poor english, looks like it has general information on all different calipers from this manufacturer. Does not have product specific information (about the material used and other specs).
However if you already know how to use Calipers you wont miss much here. I am a big fan of Titanium (for obvoius good reasons).
Highly recommended !!! |

The product is real good for what I do. I make knifes and its is more than what I need. I use it to make sure I am making blades to the right thickness and get tang measurements correct for guards and bolsters. I think this is a good fare price and if you do the super saver shipping its free and in Hawaii its also tax free. The same exact product in the islands cost about 10.00 dollars more.
These calipers come in the case shown and two batteries. I suggest if you are in high humidity areas like I am you keep a silica gel ball packet within so moisture is reduced while storing for long periods of time. I am truly happy with this product and recommend it for any one wanting a precision measuring tool at a great price. Don't hesitate buy this thing it's great. |

Great Value!
Don't spend $150 for calipers.....if you need that kind of precision, buy a micrometer. Let's face it, anything under .001" you shouldn't be relying on calipers anyway.
I am a mechanical engineer and I use calipers to get in the ballpark, tolerancing on drawings taks care of the rest.
I bought a second pair after 1 year to give to a friend.....he was thrilled. I've even dropped them and the still work. If I dropped a more expensive pair I just know they would have been toast!
Buy two pairs.
